It's grey, it's sad, we're all gathered to help our friend Marcel, deeply shocked by the unexpected death of Mrs. Kiki, the woman of his life…

Vouneuil sous Biard, June 27, 2024

The sun shines brightly, but sadness, incomprehension, disbelief…

We are reunited, but our friend Marcel Cabdevila, our rugby biker, is no longer present.

Or rather, it is omnipresent, in our hearts, in our souls, in our eyes…

But Marcel is absent, gone for his final ride, gone to join his star, gone to be with his Kiki, the love of his life, now reunited for eternity in a better world…

And we are here: Family, Friends, Colleagues, bikers, rugby players…

It's not easy to grasp what's happening, that we won't see our smiling giant anymore; some of us were lucky enough to hear him one last time a few hours before his departure for the paradise of beautiful people…

I had the chance to hear him two days before, weakened, certainly, but still having the strength to laugh and respond with great humor to one of my silly things….

Because Marcel had that charisma, that quiet strength, that conviction, which can move mountains…

We all had plans with him, trips, visits, good times shared in all simplicity but with so much sincerity…

But here we are, bewildered by so much injustice, struggling to grasp the atrocious truth…

Sadness and illness took their toll on his will to live; the absence of the woman of his life undoubtedly robbed him of the will to live…

We bikers, from Belgium and France, his friends from the Val de Vienne Chapter and the Rushless Chapter Belgium, escorted by the Gendarmerie, had the honor of escorting him to his last stop, the ultimate one.

The crematorium was far too small for this Great Man, so his family and closest friends were given priority, and we listened respectfully to the various speeches given.

Then, back to Voureuil sous Biard, where everyone tells a few anecdotes, a few adventures, a few emotions experienced in the magnificent company of our friend.

And then, the most moving, the most gripping of missions…escorting the funeral urn to the cemetery…many were the sobs, the tears, the feelings of anger and refusal to see our colossus of Poitou reduced to ashes…

Goodbye Marcel, I know you will give our regards to Ms. Kiki, we know that you have now found your soulmate, your Love, its reassuring tranquility, you know that now reunited, nothing can happen to you, except moments of happiness and complicity.

We will never forget you, and we will carry out the projects you initiated, never failing to remember that it is thanks to you…

You, my friend, our friend, you will always hold a special place in the very heart of our souls…

Goodbye, Marcel, because sooner or later we will join you, we will join you all, and we are certain that upon our arrival, you will have prepared a program for us, the secret of which only you know…
